Surgical OSCE Workshop
Course Overview
A comprehensive four-day program designed to provide medical students with essential surgical skills and clinical assessment techniques. This workshop will prepare participants to excel in OSCEs and surgical practice by combining lectures, hands-on activities, and role-playing exercises.
Participants will gain skills in communication, history-taking, clinical examination, preoperative and postoperative care, and the management of common surgical conditions. The workshop also includes an OSCE exam to ensure confidence and readiness for future practice.

- Master effective communication techniques.
- Conduct and present focused patient histories.
- Preoperative and Postoperative Care
- Perform comprehensive pre-op and post-op assessments.
- Understand various types of sutures.
- Clinical Examination
- Perform abdominal, thyroid, breast, neck, arterial, and venous examinations.
- Surgical Techniques and Management
- Manage burns and fluid resuscitation.
- Identify stomas, surgical drains, and chest tubes.
- Describe diabetic foot conditions and ulcers.
- Clinical Imaging and Surgical Landmarks
- Interpret clinical imaging.
- Describe surgical scars and incisions.
- Practical Skills and Role-Playing
- Participate in role-playing scenarios to refine skills.
- Engage in an OSCE exam for practical feedback and improvement.
